Walailak University Strengthens Digital Competencies through “WordPress for Organizations” Training to Enhance Institutional Website Management Standards

On February 25, 2026, at Computer Laboratories 1 and 2 of the Digital Innovation Center, the Walailak University Website Steering Committee organized a hands-on training program entitled “WordPress for Organizations Website Management.” The program brought together 81 support staff members representing 46 university units with the aim of enhancing their capabilities in managing organizational websites effectively and professionally.

The training was designed to strengthen participants’ digital literacy and equip website administrators responsible for domains under .wu.ac.th with the knowledge and practical skills necessary for managing websites using the WordPress platform. The initiative also aimed to prepare university units for the emerging era of AI-powered search technologies, which are transforming the way information is created, organized, and discovered online. The workshop featured two expert speakers, Mr. Wachirasak Phokakorn and Mr. Chatchawan Nakphan, who provided both theoretical knowledge and hands-on experience across several key areas, including WordPress fundamentals and system administration, content creation and management through Posts and Pages, the use of essential plugins, menu and information architecture design, cybersecurity practices for WordPress websites, and website evaluation criteria in accordance with the University’s standards.

The program emphasized the importance of developing sustainable digital competencies and fostering effective collaboration through technology. Participants gained practical experience that contributes to the Digital Literacy competency framework (DLit300: Digital Collaboration for Work, 100%). Moreover, the knowledge acquired through this training will enable staff members, particularly those from the School of Informatics, to further enhance and maintain their websites to ensure they remain modern, secure, and responsive to the needs of users.

Through this initiative, Walailak University reaffirms its commitment to strengthening digital capabilities among its personnel and advancing institutional websites to meet international standards, thereby supporting the University’s transformation toward a digitally driven and future-ready organization.
