Walailak University’s Digital Innovation Center Invites Staff and Students to “Know Your Malware: Cyber Threats Close to Walailak” Training
The Digital Innovation Center at Walailak University invites staff and students to join the training course “Know Your Malware: Cyber Threats Close to Walailak” on Friday, September 4, 2026 (B.E. 2569), from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. The training aims to build knowledge and skills in cybersecurity, teaching participants how to spot, prevent, and respond to malware or unwanted software that may be hidden in internet use, links, websites, or files. The course content is designed to help participants recognize digital threats, reduce the risk of clicking dangerous links or opening files from unknown sources, and guard against personal data theft — all threats that can affect any internet user in daily life.
Staff members can choose between two participation formats: onsite at Computer Lab 2 in the Digital Innovation Building (limited to 50 people) or online via Zoom (limited to 250 people). Registration is open through the WU HRMS system at https://hrms.wu.ac.th/ under the “Training” menu, from August 25 to September 2, 2026. For students, participation will be entirely online via Zoom (limited to 300 people), using Meeting ID 922 6466 0784 and Passcode 118237. Students who register and attend the training on the scheduled date will receive “merit points” according to established criteria, offering another opportunity to build important skills alongside their digital development.
The Digital Innovation Center aims to promote cybersecurity knowledge and awareness among Walailak University staff and students, enabling them to properly protect their data, user accounts, and digital devices, and to build safe technology usage habits in daily life — because cyber threat prevention doesn’t rely on technology alone, but begins with the knowledge and diligence of every user.
