Walailak University Digital Innovation Center Organizes Workshop on Basic Computer Software Troubleshooting

On 21 January 2025, the Digital Innovation Center (DIC), Walailak University, reinforced its commitment to enhancing digital competencies by organizing a workshop entitled “Basic Computer Software Troubleshooting.” The training program aimed to equip personnel with essential knowledge and practical skills in operating system management and software maintenance, enabling them to manage common software-related issues professionally and efficiently.

Held at Computer Laboratory 2, Digital Innovation Building, the workshop emphasized hands-on learning and practical application. A total of 44 participants engaged in interactive exercises covering operating system inspection, systematic problem analysis and isolation, proper software installation techniques to avoid unnecessary bundled applications, and the safe removal of potentially harmful programs.

The training was delivered by experienced technical specialists, Mr. Komkrit Ngernphrom and Mr. Sorapong Thinkorn, both Technical Officers, with support from Mrs. Tharee Promprasit, General Administration Officer, who served as an assistant instructor. The curriculum consisted of six key modules, including software fundamentals and classifications, software installation and removal, troubleshooting techniques, cybersecurity and malware management, system maintenance and data backup practices, and key takeaways for real-world applications.

Designed to foster practical problem-solving capabilities, the program aimed to enhance participants’ understanding of software operations and enable them to independently diagnose and resolve basic software issues. Beyond improving workplace efficiency and reducing downtime, the training also promoted responsible and secure computer usage, contributing to the development of digital governance and sustainable cybersecurity awareness across the University community.

Through initiatives such as this, the Digital Innovation Center continues to support the University’s digital transformation agenda by strengthening the technological capabilities of its personnel and fostering a secure and efficient digital working environment.
