Digital Innovation Center Hosts “Wednesday Knowledge: Digital & AI Synergy” to Showcase AI-Powered Online Recruitment System Development<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

The Digital Innovation Center (DIC), Walailak University, successfully organized the fourth session of its Knowledge Management (KM) program, “Wednesday Knowledge: Digital & AI Synergy,”<\/strong> on 8 July 2026<\/strong> via Zoom Meeting. The event aimed to foster knowledge sharing based on real-world experiences while inspiring university staff to leverage digital technologies and Artificial Intelligence (AI) to enhance work processes, supporting Walailak University’s vision of becoming a Digital University<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The session featured Ms. Nuntakarn Boonchuay<\/strong>, General Administration Officer from the Walailak University Medical Center, who shared her experience in developing an AI-assisted Online Recruitment System<\/strong> for the Walailak University Botanical Garden. Remarkably, the system was successfully developed despite the developer having no prior background in programming or web application development.<\/p>\n

During the session, Ms. Nuntakarn explained how AI served as a collaborative assistant throughout the development process. By providing AI with operational requirements, practical knowledge, and examples of existing websites, she was able to iteratively generate, test, and refine the application until it met users’ needs. She emphasized a key message that resonated with participants:<\/p>\n

“AI is here to assist us, not replace us.”<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Following the Citizen Development training organized by the Center for Digital Technology (CDT) in March 2026, the system was continuously improved and has now been successfully deployed at the Botanical Garden for more than three months. It has supported recruitment for five job positions<\/strong> and delivered tangible benefits, including significantly reduced recruitment processing time, elimination of duplicate data entry through automatic integration with Google Sheets and Google Drive, faster applicant screening and information retrieval, streamlined receipt issuance, lower paper consumption and operational costs, and reduced administrative workload. The implementation has also received highly positive feedback from the operational team.<\/p>\n

The Wednesday Knowledge: Digital & AI Synergy<\/strong> series continues to serve as an important platform for promoting Knowledge Management across the university. By showcasing successful real-world applications of digital technologies and AI, the program encourages staff to exchange ideas, develop innovative solutions, and strengthen digital capabilities that contribute to more efficient services and sustainable organizational transformation.<\/p>\n

Through initiatives such as this, the Digital Innovation Center remains committed to cultivating a culture of continuous learning and innovation, empowering university personnel to harness digital technologies and AI in creating practical solutions that drive Walailak University toward its vision of becoming a leading Digital University<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
