Walailak University has taken another significant step toward strengthening its digital security by officially implementing Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)<\/strong> and Single Sign-On (SSO)<\/strong> across its information systems. The initiative, which became effective on 6 July 2026<\/strong>, reflects the University’s commitment to international cybersecurity standards and reinforces the protection of institutional data and personal information against credential theft and unauthorized access.<\/p>\n The implementation of MFA adds an additional layer of identity verification beyond passwords, significantly reducing the risk of compromised user accounts. At the same time, the SSO platform enables faculty and staff to access multiple university information systems using a single set of credentials, providing both enhanced security and a more seamless user experience.<\/p>\n During the first phase, SSO has been integrated with two core university services: the Human Resource Management System (HRMS)<\/strong> and the Digital Innovation Center’s Maintenance Request System<\/strong>. Additional university applications will be progressively connected in future phases, supporting the University’s vision of an integrated and secure digital ecosystem.<\/p>\n The new authentication platform also supports access to Microsoft 365<\/strong> services, including Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, OneDrive, SharePoint<\/strong>, as well as emerging Microsoft services such as New Chat, Search, Library, Teach & Learn, Create Agent, and Agent Store<\/strong>.
